Formé par changement de la voyelle finale, sur l'adj. anhydre « sans eau » et servant à former des composés en chim. et en biol. médicale.

anhydro(-)sulfaté(anhydro sulfaté, anhydro-sulfaté), adj., vx « se dit d'une base qui est à l'état de sulfate et qui ne contient pas d'eau de cristallisation » (Ac. Compl. 1842; aussi ds la plupart des dict. gén. du XIXe s.)
anhydroxuré, adj., terme proposé par L.-J. GAY-LUSSAC (Observations sur les combinaisons formées par l'iode et par le chlore, Annales de chim. et de phys., t. 1, 1816, p. 172)
